1066 Chapter sprang onto the H.O.G. (Harley Owners Group) stage in 2003, sponsored by the newly-opened Shaw Harley-Davidson. Currently, we are the only H.O.G. Chapter in the world with a number as our Chapter name. Something to do with some local battle, no-one in the Chapter is sure when. History, shmystery, what we are really all about is riding Harley-Davidsons and Buells and having fun.

During the main riding season (typically March to October) we have a full programme of regular weekend rideouts. Sometimes we stop at pubs! There are usually trips abroad on our Harleys as well, interspersed with rideouts to other events, 1066 social events, and monthly Chapter meets at several area locations (check out our diary pages). 1066 Chapter is one of the consortium of 5 Chapters that stages the South Of England Rally at the National Shooting Centre at Bisley in Surrey at the beginning of August each year. Since our first rally in 2004, this event has quickly grown into one of the largest UK H.O.G. rallies and is a must for your diary.

During the winter season - November to February - our motorcycling activities are less intense, but they certainly don't stop. Chapter meets, outings, and other social events continue apace.

By joining 1066 Chapter, not only do you get to ride your Harley or Buell motorcycle with other like-minded fans of these great bikes, but you will make some great friends too.
